Maharashtra opener Ruturaj Gaikwad was at his best in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy quarter-final against Uttar Pradesh and his unbeaten 220 helped the side post 330 runs on the board in the allotted fifty overs. However, the best part of his knock came in the final over of the innings as he scored 43 off Shiva Singh. In this special over, Ruturaj Gaikwad hit seven consecutive sixes.

The strike-rate of his innings was 138.36. Apart from Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ankit Bawne and Azim Kazi also played useful innings of 37-37 runs. Kartik Tyagi took three wickets for Uttar Pradesh.
