Garry Kirsten, BCCI: The BCCI is giving its full attention to the Indian women’s team. The BCCI is currently looking for a new coach for the Indian women’s team. Recently, former South African cricketer Gary Kirsten has turned down the offer of the post of coach.

The BCCI had talked to Gary for this post, but he has flatly refused to take up the responsibility.

Garry Kirsten turned down BCCI’s proposal:-

Actually, the current coach of the Indian women’s team is Rishikesh Kanitkar, to replace whom the BCCI is looking for a new coach. Gary Kirsten was offered the post by the BCCI, but he did not accept it.

Garry Kirsten rejected BCCI ‘s proposal, now this veteran is ahead in the race.

Reports also stated that BCCI wanted to make him the coach but due to busy schedule in IPL and other leagues, Kirsten has refused to take the responsibility. Amol Majumdar, Rishikesh Kanitkar were in this race. Kanitkar is already serving as the interim coach.

Charlotte Edwards recently joined the race :-

Talking about big international names, Charlotte Edwards has recently joined the race. Now it will be interesting to see whether BCCI decides to go ahead with the World Cup winning captain from England or not?

Most recently, Edwards led the Mumbai Indians team in the inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). In such a situation, it is believed that the BCCI will decide to sign a two-year contract with the new coach. In such a situation, there has been no response from him on this.
