Subramaniam Badrinath is a former Indian cricketer. He was 30 August 1980 (age 41 years)  Chennai. He is a right-handed middle-order batsman. Badrinath has represented India in One Day International and test matches. In first-class cricket. He captains Vidarbha and was captain of Tamil Nadu earlier.

Badrinath in the 2014-15 domestic season, shifted to Vidarbha and led the side. In the 2015 edition, he played for the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). However, he didn’t get a chance to play.

Badrinath, despite being a domestic cricket giant. He has never had any luck going his way. He played most of his cricket in an era. There is the national team’s middle order. He was filled with legends like Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, and VVS Laxman.

He got his chance to play Test cricket. Then He was selected in the eleven for the home series against South Africa in 2010. In his debut match, he scored 56 against an attack. That had Steyn and Morne Morkel and was the only batsman apart from Sehwag to get into double figures. Despite that, he was dropped from the following Test tour of Sri Lanka as the selectors picked Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina in his place.

He decided to play for Vidarbha in 2014. A couple of years later, Hyderabad roped him as the captain of the side. The unassuming cricketer then reached the impressive landmark of 10,000 first-class runs when he crunched a century (134) for Hyderabad against Chhattisgarh in Valsad in November last year.
