IPL 2024, Hardik Pandya: IPL franchises have until November 26 to announce their final list of retained players before the 2024 player auction, which will take place on December 19 in Dubai.

But some time before this a big news has come out. Actually, Hardik Pandya is almost certain to leave Gujarat Titans and return to Mumbai Indians. Let us tell you that he started his IPL career with Mumbai Indians team.

If ESPNcricinfo is to be believed then this deal will be done entirely in cash. With this, now Mumbai Indians will have to pay Rs 15 crore i.e. approximately 1.8 million dollars to Hardik Pandya. Apart from this, Titans will have to pay a transfer fee which they have not yet disclosed publicly. Apart from this, Hardik will also get the benefit of up to 50% of the transfer fee.

Could be the biggest player deal in IPL history :-

If this deal happens then it will be the biggest player deal in IPL history. However, no franchise has made any public comments on this trade yet.

The biggest challenge for Mumbai Indians in this trade will be to maintain sufficient funds as Mumbai had only Rs 5 lakh left after the last auction. With this, the franchise will get an additional Rs 5 crore in its purse before the mega auction on December 19.

This only means that Mumbai will have to release players to finalize the trade. Also, the deadline to retain the players is till 4 pm on 26th November.

Performance of Hardik Pandya for Titans :-

In his two-season stint with the Titans, Hardik scored 833 runs in 30 innings at an average of 41.65 and a strike rate of 133.49 and took 11 wickets at an economy of 8.1.

Hardik led the Titans to the title in 2022, their first season in the IPL, and was player of the match in the final against Rajasthan Royals. In 2023, the Titans made it to the IPL final for the second consecutive season, where they lost to CSK. Also, in both the seasons, under the captaincy of Hardik, Titans topped the points table in the league stage.
