Kieron Pollard, former West Indies captain and associated with the Mumbai Indians team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since 2010, has announced his retirement from the IPL. Pollard may not be with Mumbai Indians as a player, but he will now be seen in a new role. Pollard has been appointed as the new batting coach of Mumbai Indians. Pollard has been instrumental in helping Mumbai Indians win the IPL title five times. Teammates also call him ‘Polly’ or ‘Lord’.
