Indian fast bowler Deepak Chahar said that cricketers who can bowl around 140 KPH and bat with the bat will always have a place in the Indian team even 10-15 years from now and added that he aspires to be the same.

Chahar told Sports Tak –

“If I can bat a bit, I will always have a place in the Indian team – now and even after 10-15 years. I want to reach that level and I know once I reach there, the performance will follow and I will automatically get selected. Still I want him to bowl in the 140s, swing both ways and contribute with the bat.”

Chahar also gave the example of Indian star all-rounder Hardik Pandya on how he has been the number one player for India in recent times.

Chahar said –

“Look at Hardik Pandya – he does all three; bowl fast, swing and bat; 1 or 2 years from now no one can replace him in the Indian team. He is the number 1 all-rounder in the world because he can do all three. So it’s not just me; If a player can do that, he will get a place in the team.”
