ICC: The International Cricket Council i.e. the ICC Board has announced the hosts of the ICC U19 events from 2024 to 2027. The ICC has approved Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand as the host countries of the U19 tournament, besides Zimbabwe and Namibia and Bangladesh and Nepal to host global events, including men’s and women’s cricket events.
These countries have been approved by ICC to organize these global events :-
The ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 has been hosted by Sri Lanka. While the 2026 edition will be hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia. The ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup will be held in 2025 on the soil of Malaysia and Thailand, while the 2027 U19 Women’s T20 World Cup will be jointly hosted by Bangladesh and Nepal.
The host countries were selected under the supervision of a board headed by Martin Snedden :-
ICC U19 Global events: Host countries are selected through a competitive bidding process overseen by a Board sub-committee chaired by Martin Snedden. The ICC Board accepted the recommendations of the committee, which, along with the ICC Management, thoroughly reviewed each bid. The qualification pathway for the 10-team ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 has been approved.
