ICC made a big announcement, the next two finals of the World Test Championship will be held in this country

ICC has announced that the finals of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025 and 2027 will not be held in any other country, but in England only.

ICC: So far, England has hosted both the finals of the WTC :-

So far, two WTC finals have been played and both times England has hosted it. WTC started in 2021 and after this in 2023 also England hosted the final of the ICC World Test Championship.

ICC: The final of WTC 2025 will be held in June :-

Also, let us tell you that ICC has sought proposals for its Social Responsibility Provider, in which it has been informed that the final of the World Test Championship 2025 will be held at Lord’s in London in June, while the 2027 final will be played in England in June. However, the information on which ground it will be held in 2027 has not been revealed yet. The WTC 2021 final was played in Southampton and the 2023 final at The Oval.

New Zealand had won in the first final of WTC :-

Also, let us tell you that in the first final of WTC, India faced New Zealand, which New Zealand won by 8 wickets. India had scored 217 and 170 runs in the first and second innings, whereas New Zealand won the final by scoring 249 runs in the first innings and 140 runs in the second innings after losing 2 wickets.

Australia won in the second final of WTC :-

At the same time, in 2023 also the Indian team reached the final of the World Test Championship. But this time too it remained away from the title. India suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Australia by 209 runs. The player of the match of this final was Travis Head who played a brilliant inning of 163 runs.

Australia is currently on top in the WTC 2023-25 cycle :-

Talking about the present time, the 2023-25 cycle of WTC is being organized. The new season has just begun and at present the Australian team is at the first position in the points table with 61.11 points. The Indian team is at second place with 54.16 points. South Africa is at third place with 50.0 points.
