Former Pakistan national cricket team captain Salman Butt has slammed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection committee for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 team selection.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 is scheduled to begin on 16 October with group-stage matches. The Super 12 round will begin on 22 October. And the final will take place on 13 November at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The Pakistan national cricket team will take on the India national cricket team in their first match of the tournament at the prestigious Melbourne Cricket Ground on 23 October.

Mohammad Haris doesn’t even have a score of 15 – Salman Butt
Former Pakistan captain Butt slammed the PCB for selecting backup wicketkeeper Mohammad Haris in the traveling reserve, saying he failed to score even 15 runs in the national T20Is. Butt also said that Haris does not have enough credentials to be a part of Pakistan’s World Cup squad. Butt also criticized the PCB for selecting out-of-form batsman Fakhar Zaman in reserve.
Fakhar Zaman is also in reserve and he is not in the form either
“Your second wicketkeeper Mohammad Haris is in traveling reserve. Fakhar Zaman is also in reserve and he is also not in form. Dahani is also in reserve. You chose Harris. Zaman played 5-6 matches in National T20… He doesn’t even have a score of 15. He dropped three catches in a match.

The PCB selection committee is sleeping
When the anchor of the show sarcastically said that the PCB selection committee is sleeping. Salman gave a befitting reply and said that one he is sleeping may be awake, but the selectors are unconscious.
“The sleeping person can wake up. Yeh Toh Bahna hai (they are unconscious),” said Butt.
Before their World Cup opener, Babar Azam & Co. will participate in two practice matches against the England national cricket team and the Afghanistan national cricket team.
Pakistan recently suffered a 3-4 home T20I series loss against England. And currently, they are involved in a tri-series in New Zealand.
