Pakistan WC 2023: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the schedule for the ODI World Cup on Tuesday. All eyes were on the date and venue of the crucial match between India and Pakistan. It is now confirmed that Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium will host the big match on Sunday, October 15, 10 days after the opening match between New Zealand.
ICC WC 2023: ICC made a big announcement :-
ICC (ICC World Cup 2023) also announced that both the semi-finals will be played in Mumbai and Kolkata. Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium will host the semi-final between No. 1 and No. 4 on the points table on November 15, while the second semi-final between No. 2 and No. 3 will be played at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens.
If Pakistan reaches the semi-finals, then the match will be played here :-
However, the ICC also announced that if Pakistan qualified for the semi-finals they would play in Kolkata regardless of their position in their points table at the end of the round-robin group stage. If the semi final is India vs Pakistan then it will be played in Kolkata and not in Mumbai.
Pakistan WC 2023: If Pakistan does not qualify then this will happen :-
If Pakistan fails to qualify for the semi-finals, then India will play its semi-final match in Mumbai only. The tournament retains the round-robin format of last time, with all teams playing against each other for a total of 45 league matches.
