West Indies captain Stafanie Taylor became the No.1-ranked ODI batter after displacing Mithali Raj from the position. Taylor is now also the No.1-ranked all-rounder in ODIs.

Taylor led the way for West Indies:

West Indies came up with a dominant performance in the opening contest, with Stafanie Taylor leading the charge. It was an all-around show from the skipper. She registered figures of 3/29 with the ball and then followed it up with a classy knock of 105 not out. After the showing, West Indies are unlikely to ring in many changes and will hope that the tried and trusted formula does the trick again.

Second ODI

In the second ODI at the same venue, she gave away only 18 runs in her six overs. She didn’t get a chance to bat in the West Indies’ chase of 121.

Deandra Dottin returned to ODI cricket after more than two years. Re-entered the rankings at 28th place among batters and 47th among allrounders.

Offspinner Anisa Mohammed moved up two places to be ranked 26th while seamer Shamilia Connell jumped up four places to occupy 39th place among bowlers.

For Pakistan, Nida Dar gained three places to be ranked 29th. And Diana Baig moved up one place to be 32nd among the bowlers.

In the bowlers’ list, Poonam Yadav (up to five places to seventh). Shikha Pandey (up to eight places to 27th) are the main gainers for India while England’s Freya Davis has gained two slots and is now 64th.
