ICC World Cup Qualifiers 2023: Zimbabwe made the biggest score in ODIs, broke 14 years old record

Zimbabwe made its individual biggest score: In the 17th match of the ICC World Cup Qualifier 2023, Zimbabwe is clashing with America. While batting first, the Zimbabwean batsmen created a fierce mutiny on the Harare ground.

Zimbabwe made the biggest score :-

Captain Sean Williams scored a century as Zimbabwe crossed the 400-run mark for the first time in the history of ODI cricket. While batting against America, the Zimbabwe team posted 408 runs losing 6 wickets on the score board.

At the same time, Joylord Gumby also contributed 78 runs while batting well. In the last over, Ryan Burl, batting in a stormy manner, scored 47 runs in just 16 balls. Sikandar Raza scored 48 runs in 27 balls.

The team did the highest score in the year 2009 :-

Zimbabwe’s team has crossed the 400-run mark for the first time in the history of ODI cricket. Earlier, the team’s highest score in this format was 351, which was scored by Zimbabwe against Kenya in 2009. Playing against Namibia in 2003, Zimbabwe scored 340, which is now the team’s third highest score.

Sean Williams wreaked havoc :-

Zimbabwe’s star batsman rained fours and sixes in the match being played against America. Williams, batting in a blistering fashion, played a memorable inning of 174 runs in just 101 balls.

During this, 21 fours and 5 sky-high sixes came out of the Zimbabwe captain’s bat. Williams may have missed his double century, but he played the biggest innings of his ODI career. It is also the third highest innings by Zimbabwe in the history of ODI cricket.
