Multan Sultans put up a fine performance to beat the Imad Wasim-led side by three runs in a closely contested Pakistan Super League match against Karachi Kings on Wednesday night, but eventually chased down the target and lost by three runs. Sitting in the dressing room after the defeat, Karachi Kings President Wasim Akram could not hide his frustration and kicked the chair in front of him.
Ramiz said on BOL Network –
“Look, I have been the chairman of the PCB. I know (if I were still there) I couldn’t sit outside and do nothing. When you have selected a team, you have to support them. And then, you have to keep a cool head and analyze the performance.”
Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja, who was the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board till December last year, also criticized Akram after he spoke about the latter’s reaction from the dressing room.
Akram’s reaction to being hit with the chair soon went viral on social media, with many fans criticizing the Pakistan legend for his outburst.
Ramiz added –
“It’s pure frustration. It doesn’t look good. If you can’t control your temper, which is the most important thing in your position, it’s not good for the public’s point of view.”
