IND vs AFG: In the ongoing T20I match series between India and Afghanistan, after being out for zero in the first 2 matches, Indian captain Rohit Sharma played a brilliant century in the third T20I match.
Rohit Sharma became the first batsman in the world to do this :-
Rohit Sharma made a strong comeback in form by scoring 121 runs in 64 balls with the help of 10 fours and 6 sixes and scoring a century. With this century, Hit Man became the first batsman to score 5 centuries in T20I history.
With this inning of 121 runs, Rohit has also become the Indian batsman with the fourth highest individual score. Before him in this list are Shubman Gill’s 126 runs against New Zealand in 2023, Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 123 runs against Australia in 2023 and Virat Kohli’s 122 runs against Afghanistan in 2022.

Rohit’s last T20I century came in 2018 :-
Let us tell you that Rohit’s last century in T20I came against West Indies in 2018, where he scored unbeaten 111 runs in Lucknow.
After India lost its first four wickets early in the third T20I against Afghanistan, Rinku Singh also supported Rohit very well and scored a brilliant 69 runs in 39 balls.

Now talking about the match, at one time it seemed that the match was over when India, while defending the target of 213 runs, had dismissed both the opening batsmen of Afghanistan after the 12th over. However, Mohammad Nabi and Gulbadin Naib put up a sensational fight, leaving the Indians behind. Nabi was out after scoring 34 runs from 16.
However, despite the fall of wickets at the other end, Gulbadin stepped up and remained unbeaten on 55 off 23 balls as Afghanistan leveled the score, sending the match incredibly into a Super Over.
Afghan team could score only one run in the second super over :-
Both teams scored 16 runs in the first Super Over, which means a second Super Over is now needed to decide the match. India scored 11 runs and lost two wickets in their second Super Over innings and now Afghanistan needed 12 runs to register their first T20I match win over India. But they could only score one run and lost their two wickets, which meant India won the second Super Over.
