IND vs AFG: It’s been two months since India lost the World Cup final against Australia, but it seems like Rohit Sharma, like many others, is yet to move on from the heartbreaking defeat on November 19 night.

After losing the World Cup, Rohit Sharma achieved many achievements :-

As captain, Rohit led India to a famous Test win against South Africa in Cape Town and followed it up with a 3-0 win against Afghanistan, but the pain of losing the World Cup final is still not fully healed.

Rohit talked about his ‘difficult times’ :-

Before leaving for the South Africa tour, Rohit had talked about his ‘tough times’. But as Indian cricket progressed, Rohit seemed to be able to overcome this too. But it seemed as if his wounds were fresh again when he was asked a question related to that evening in Ahmedabad. When asked what he did to get himself back in the right mindset, Rohit stammered before explaining the importance of the 50-over World Cup and what winning it would mean to him.

Rohit told the official broadcaster “Look, I don’t want to think about it right now. For me the 50-over World Cup is the biggest prize of them all. It’s not that I don’t think about it. T20 World Cup or World Test. The championship is important, but we have grown up watching the 50-over World Cup. And when it happens in India, it is a big deal. We tried, but unfortunately could not do it. The entire team and the fans were also disappointed. “But now we have the opportunity, we will try to make the most of it and win the World Cup.”

IND vs AFG: Rohit Sharma is back in form :-

Let us tell you that the Indian captain performed excellently during his innings of 121 runs in 69 balls against Afghanistan and scored his 5th T20I century. But a very interesting aspect of his batting was the reverse sweeps and switch hits he did.

Rohit, who is not known for trying out the usual shots, admitted that this is a shot he has been working on for the last two years, understanding the importance of thinking outside the box and staying ahead of the opposition.

Rohit Sharma said on this :-

Rohit Sharma said on this, “I have been practicing those shots a lot. If you have to put pressure on the bowlers on a turning pitch and you cannot hit straight, then you have to find ways. You have to do something different.” Have to try. Have been practicing shots like sweep and reverse sweep for the last two years. I have executed them a few times in Tests as well, so yes, you just have to have more options.”
