IND vs AUS, 2nd T20I: Captain Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 46 off 20 balls as India beat Australia by six wickets in the rain-hit second T20I to level the three-match series 1-1. The match was reduced to eight overs per team due to the wet outfield.
Australia scored 90 for five with the help of Matthew Wade’s 43 off 20 balls. In reply, India scored 92 for the loss of four wickets and registered a victory with four balls to spare. Dinesh Karthik ensured victory by hitting sixes and fours in the first two balls of the last over. Rohit added 43 not out in 20 balls with the help of four fours and four sixes.
From the other end, however, KL Rahul (10), Virat Kohli (11) and Suryakumar Yadav (0) were cheaply sent to the pavilion by Adam Zampa. While Kohli and Rahul were bowled, Suryakumar was out leg before. Hardik Pandya also scored nine runs and was caught by Pat Cummins to Aaron Finch. ‘Finisher’ Dinesh Karthik hit Daniel Sams for a four and a six in the first two balls of the last over to give India victory.

This victory of India is very important in many ways. Bumrah is back in the team. Axar Patel bowled well in the powerplay while Rohit Sharma is back in form. We are going to tell you here the big reasons for India’s victory in the second T20 against Australia :-
Jasprit Bumrah, who was returning to the Indian team after two and a half months, had bowled the first ball wide, but after that he troubled the Australian batsmen a lot. He bowled many accurate yorkers. Meanwhile, Bumrah also clean bowled Australian captain Aaron Fint on the yorker. Bumrah’s excellent return is news of relief for India. Bumrah took 1 wicket for 23 runs in 2 overs.
Axar Patel played a key role in Australia’s early three-wicket haul in the match that started late due to a wet outfield. He dismissed Cameron Green and then clean bowled Maxwell in his very first over. In the second over, he clean bowled dangerous batsman Tim David on the first ball. This performance of Axar Patel, who came in the team in place of Ravindra Jadeja, is a good sign for the Indian team.
Rohit Sharma made a strong start in the second match against Australia. In the very first over, he hit two sixes against Hazlewood. With these sixes, Rohit made a big world record in his name.
Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has now become the first batsman in the world to hit the most number of sixes in T20 International cricket. He left Martin Guptill behind in this matter.
In the second T20 match against Australia, India needed 9 runs to win in the last over. Dinesh Karthik, who came out to bat after Hardik’s dismissal, gave India victory by hitting boundaries on the first two balls of the last over. With this, he has again proved that there is hardly anyone better than him in the current team in the role of finisher.
Dinesh Karthik was dropped in several matches and the team is still in a dilemma whether to include Pant in the playing XI or keep left-handed batsman Rishabh Pant in the playing XI. However, Pant did not get a chance to bat in this match, which means that the team is showing more confidence in Karthik.
