IND vs AUS: Nathan Lyon created history by taking five wickets

Nathan Lyon created history: The second match of the four-Test series between India and Australia is being played in Delhi. On Saturday (February 18) on the third day of the match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, the Indian team was reduced to 262 runs in the first innings.

She was one run behind Australia in the first innings. The visiting team scored 263 runs in the first innings. Australia’s experienced spinner Nathan Lyon took five wickets. He created history during this innings.

Lyon became the first Australian bowler to take 100 wickets in Tests against India. Prior to this match, Lyon had 95 wickets against Team India. He dismissed KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Shreyas Iyer and KS Bharat in the first innings.

England’s James Anderson is on top of the bowlers who have taken the most wickets against India. He is followed by Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan and then Nathan Lyon. Anderson took 139 wickets in 35 Tests and Muralitharan took 105 wickets in 22 Tests.

Lyon-Ashwin’s eye on Kumble’s record :-

Nathan Lyon is the joint second highest wicket-taker in Test matches between India and Australia. He has 100 wickets equal to Ravichandran Ashwin. Ashwin has played 20 and Lyon has played 24 Tests.

In this case, Anil Kumble is at the top. Kumble took 111 wickets in 20 Test matches. In the current series, both the bowlers have a chance to bowl in a total of five innings. In such a situation, both can go ahead of Kumble.
