IND vs AUS: Sunil Gavaskar Got Angry When Shubman Gill Called Physio After Injury

Team India is on the backfoot in front of Australia in the third Test at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. After the end of the first day’s play, Australia has a lead of 47 runs with six wickets remaining. In this match Indian captain Rohit Sharma decided to bat first. However, Team India was reduced to just 109 runs in the first innings.

Shubman Gill did Wonders in T20 and ODI Cricket Earlier this Year

The spin duo of Nathan Lyon and Matthew Kuhnmann put in a stellar performance. Together they took eight wickets. Kuhnman took five wickets and Nathan Lyon took three wickets.
In this match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma included Shubman Gill in the team instead of Lokesh Rahul. Shubman Gill did wonders in T20 and ODI cricket earlier this year. Since then he was waiting to get a chance in Test cricket. However, he could not do much in the first innings of the Indore Test and was dismissed for 21 runs.

During the batting in this match, Shubman Gill ran for a single off Cameron Green in the seventh over of India’s innings and had to dive to get back to the crease in time. During this, he suffered a minor injury and a small wound on his lower abdomen. Gill immediately called the physio and the match was stopped.

Gill is Being Treated

Seeing this, Gavaskar, who was commentating during the match, said, “Shubman Gill is being treated. He dived to reach the crease, but I tell you he could have waited till the end of the over.” The bowler is bowling, he has bowled four balls. You have given him relief in the hot weather. Former Australia batsman Matthew Hayden was doing commentary with Gavaskar. He said, “You’re a tough guy, Sunny.
