IND vs ENG, 4th Test – Joe Root ‘s LBW: The debate regarding DRS that started during the ongoing Test match between India and England is not ending. There is a lot of discussion about Joe Root’s LBW out in the fourth test match.

Joe Root looked in good form when he came out to bat on the third day of the fourth Test. Ashwin showed the way to the pavilion to Root, who scored a century in the first innings. Former England captain Michael also looked very angry with Joe Root’s LBW and also gave his reaction on social media.

Very surprised by the decision of Joe Root out :-

Joe Root had scored unbeaten 122 runs in the first innings. But he could not stay at the crease for long in the second innings and Ashwin cleverly showed him the way to the pavilion by LBWing him. However, the umpire gave him not out, after which India took DRS. Replays showed that impact, pitching and wicket hitting were in accordance with the rules.

However, replays showed that the ball touched the line very close and went towards the stump. Joe Root also seemed a little surprised by this decision and went to the dressing room and checked the DRS call on the monitor several times. Root scored 11 runs in 34 balls. Meanwhile, Vaughan admitted that the ball was pitched outside the leg-stump and Root should not have been given out. However, he later deleted the tweet.

Michael Vaughan wrote on X :-

Vaughan wrote on X, “Root’s dismissal was a blow to the technique. It seemed that more than half the ball was pitched outside the leg stump but it looks red.

After deleting his previous tweet, Vaughan posted another tweet, saying that the third umpire should have seen more replays before taking a decision on the route.
