India made many big record s by defeating England by an innings and 64 runs in the 5th and last Test of the series played in Dharamsala. One of these records is such that it has been tied to the name of Team India for the first time in the history of Indian Test cricket.
For the first time in Test cricket history, Indiaβs win/loss ratio became 1 :-
This is the first time in Test cricket that Team Indiaβs win/loss record is 1. This means that Team India has won as many matches as it has lost in Test cricket. This has happened for the first time in the 92-year history of Indian Test cricket.
Team India played its first test match in 1932. In the last 92 years, India has played a total of 579 matches, out of which they have won 178 matches and lost the same number of matches. During this period, Team India has played 222 drawn matches while one match is being tied.
India got its first victory in the decade of 1950 :-
If we talk about the win/loss record of every decade of Team India, in the decade of 1930, India had lost 5 out of 7 matches, while during this period, two matches were drawn. Whereas in the decade of 1940, this record was 0-11. India got its first victory in Test cricket in the decade of 1950. India won its first Test by defeating England in its 24th Test in 1952. India had a total of 6 wins in this decade.

Indiaβs win/loss ratio gradually increased :-
In the decade of 1960, the win and loss record was 15-49 in 116 matches, in the 1970s it was 32-68 in 180 matches, in the 1980s it was 43-89 in 261 matches, in the 1990s it was 61-61 in 330 matches. 109, 101-136 in 433 matches in the decade of 2000, 157-165 in 540 matches in the decade of 2010 and now for the first time in the decade of 2020, the win-loss record has reached parity.

Apart from India, in the history of Test cricket, there are 4 teams whose win/loss record is 1 or more. Australia is on top in this matter with a record of 1.780, while England (1.209) is at second place, South Africa (1.105) is at third place and Pakistan (1.042) is at fourth place.
