Sunil Gavaskar has scored the most runs in a test series :-
In fact, in the 4-match Test series in 1971, 21-year-old Sunil Gavaskar had scored 774 runs in 8 innings against West Indies. This is the record for the most runs scored by any Indian in a Test series. In this series, Gavaskar scored 65, 67, 116, 64, 01, 117*, 124 and 220 runs.

Now it has been more than 50 years since no one has been able to break this record, but now Yashasvi Jaiswal has created a chance to break this record on the basis of his excellent performance in this Test series.
Jaiswal has so far scored 655 runs in 4 Test matches at an average of 93.57 and now he can break this record by scoring 120 runs in the fifth Test and become number one in this matter. Jaiswal has so far scored 80, 15, 209, 17, 10, 214, 73 and 37 runs in 8 innings.

The overall number 1 in terms of scoring the most runs in a Test series is Australia’s Don Bradman, who scored 974 runs at an average of 139.14 against England in 1930. At number 2 is England’s Wally Halmond, who scored 905 runs against Australia between 1928-29 at an average of 113.12. At third place is Australia’s Mark Taylor, who scored 839 runs against England in 1989 at an average of 89.3.
