India’s batting coach Vikram Rathor said in the press conference

After the fourth day’s play, India’s batting coach Vikram Rathor said in a press conference that our performance with the bat was quite normal, we were ahead in the match. This was the only time we could take the hosts out of the game. But we couldn’t do that. We should have shown a better strategy as a batting unit which we didn’t.

Rathore also said that the poor bowling so far in the last innings is also a big reason. For this, we cannot excuse the weather, in which Root-Bairstow started putting pressure on Team India. Against England, we should have bowled better on the fourth day as well. However, it is being said that Bumrah and Shami can return to the team on the last day of the fifth Test against England.

Rathore further said that it is still a big target, still, 119 runs are left. If we want, we can do well and take two wickets at the start of the game.
