IND vs ENG, Test: England vice-captain Ollie Pope has made it clear that his team will not complain if the pitches turn from day one during the five-match series against India starting on January 25 in Hyderabad.

IND vs ENG, Test: Ollie Pope has no problem with turning pitch in India :-

“In England we can leave more grass on the pitch to suit our amazing seamers, so it would be no surprise if India do the same to suit their spinners. And I actually think it’s wonderful to watch low-scoring Test matches,” The Guardian quoted him as saying.

“I watched a lot of the South Africa vs India match and it was great: the players were scoring runs very hard. The scores may be the same in India but we won’t complain if the pitches spin from the first ball. It’s about finding a way to combat it.”

Ollie Pope further said this :-

Pope says the pitches will be a massive topic of discussion in India during the series but both teams will play on exactly the same surface.

“And the pitches can be a subject of massive discussion. But you have to remember that both teams are playing on the exact same wicket, so we need to be as prepared as possible.

The England number three had a poor performance three years ago when the team toured India, but he says he has learned from Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant how to bat as a rank turner.
