Dravid and his staff are currently in the Caribbean but will return home after the tour. Laxman, who has replaced Dravid in the past, will take charge in the India vs Ireland series. According to Cricbuzz, India head coach Rahul Dravid and his assistant will take a short break after the ongoing series against the West Indies. Their coaching staff will also take leave. In his (Rahul) absence, VVS Laxman and his NCA staff will look after the responsibilities in Ireland. Sitanshu Kotak and Hrishikesh Kanitkar (batting) and Troy Cooley and Sairaj Bahutule (bowling) will be contenders to make the trip.
The Ireland series starts on August 18
This time three T20 International matches are to be played in Dublin on 18, 20, and 23 August in Ireland.

As per media reports, Jasprit Bumrah is expected to be selected for the Ireland series. The Indian leadership has shown significant progress in the recent past. There is no guarantee whether Shreyas Iyer will be available or not but KL Rahul has no chance to play not only in Ireland series but also in Asia Cup. Rahul is currently undergoing rehab at NCA, he is yet to start batting.
