IND vs NZ: The Indian team defeated New Zealand by 90 runs in the third match of the ODI series and made a clean sweep in the series. In this match, once again Team India’s opening pair i.e. Captain Rohit Sharma and his partner Shubman Gill batted amazingly. Both the openers scored centuries. After a long time, Hitman also got a century with his bat. He completed his century in 83 balls and played an innings of 101 runs. Rohit scored a century after almost 1100 days. This was his second fastest century in ODI cricket. A secret related to this century of Rohit has now been opened by his opening partner Shubman Gill. Gill has told that before the century, Rohit was afraid of being dismissed by a Kiwi bowler.

In the video released on BCCI TV, when Rahul Dravid asks Shubman Gill, what does he get to learn by playing with batsmen like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli? Responding to this, Gill says that playing with these two big players gives me a lot of inspiration and shows me how to deal with different situations. Meanwhile, Gill gave an example and said, like today when Rohit bhai and I were batting. When he (Rohit) was about 70, Daryl Mitchell was bowling at the same time.
Then Rohit told Gill that this is the bowler who can get me out. Gill further told that after this Rohit said that, but I will attack against him as well and will continue to play. Its result showed and Rohit Sharma hit 6 fours and a six in Mitchell’s 4 overs. Mitchell gave 41 runs in 4 overs in his first spell and was dropped from the bowling after that. After this Rohit Sharma completed his 30th ODI century. This century came in his 83 balls, which was his second fastest ODI century in terms of balls. Earlier, he had scored his fastest ODI century against England in Nottingham off 82 balls. Also, Rohit is now the active cricketer with the second most number of ODI hundreds after Virat Kohli (46).
