What did Rameez Raja say?

Talking to a Pakistani news channel, Rameez Raja said- If Pakistan does not participate in the World Cup to be held in India next year, then who will watch it? Our stand is clear. If the Indian team comes here, we will go for the World Cup. If they don’t come, they can play the World Cup without us. We will take an aggressive stand.

Rameez Raja said- Our team is performing well. I have always said that we need to improve the economy of Pakistan cricket and that can only happen if we do well. We defeated India in the 2021 T20 World Cup. We beat India in the T20 Asia Cup. In one year, Pakistan cricket team defeated a team with a billion dollar economy twice.

What is the whole controversy?

BCCI Secretary and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Jay Shah had said that Team India will not go to Pakistan. He had also said that the tournament would be held at a neutral venue. After this the dispute started. The Pakistan Cricket Board had demanded an emergency meeting of the Asian Cricket Council. The PCB had appealed to the ACC to call an emergency meeting of the Asian Cricket Council to decide on the matter. Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board had said that if India conducts the Asia Cup to be held in Pakistan at a neutral venue, then the PCB will demand that the 2023 ODI World Cup to be held in India be held at a neutral venue.

Team India went to Pakistan for the last time in 2008
