IND vs SA, Rajat Patidar: After winning the T20 series against South Africa, the Indian team will also play three ODIs from October 6. Shikhar Dhawan will lead the team while Shreyas Iyer has been made the vice-captain. Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi and Deepak Chahar have been included in the ODI series despite being part of the stand-by for the T20 World Cup.

Shubman Gill will continue to play at the top of the order while Kuldeep Yadav and Shahbaz Ahmed have also been included in the ODI squad. Apart from this, Rajat Patidar and Mukesh Kumar have been selected in the Indian team for the first time due to their consistent performances.

IND vs SA, ODI: Rajat and Mukesh selected for the first time in the Indian team :-

Indian wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik has expressed happiness over the selection of Rajat Patidar and Mukesh Kumar in the Indian team for the first time. Both Karthik and Patidar are playing for RCB in IPL 2022. Karthik further added that the performances of Sarfaraz Khan and Baba Inderjit also cannot be ignored.

Karthik wrote this by tweeting;-

Dinesh Karthik wrote on Twitter, “Very glad to see Rajat Patidar there. He deserves this selection. It was great to see Mukesh Kumar too. Now Sarfaraz Khan and Indrajit Baba in the scheme. Can’t ignore such spectacular performances. They have been phenomenal.”

Rajat Patidar ‘s great performance in IPL 2022 :-

Patidar came to the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022 as a replacement, but he had a stellar season. He scored 333 runs in 8 innings at an average of 55.50 with the help of a century and 2 half-centuries. Patidar had a strike rate of 152.75 in the tournament.
