IND vs SA, T20 WC: Suryakumar Yadav reaches number three, only Babar-Rizwan is ahead of him

IND vs SA, T20 WC: Suryakumar Yadav’s innings of 68 runs against South Africa on Sunday night was one of the best innings of his T20 career. Suryakumar Yadav managed to join the special club of Pakistan captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan on the strength of this innings.

During this, one century and 12 half-centuries came out with his bat. Rizwan is the only batsman in the history of T20 cricket to have scored more than 1000 runs in a year.

Azam Azam is at number two :-

The second name in this list is that of Captain Babar Azam. Babar had scored 939 runs at an average of 37.56 with a strike rate of 127.58, giving full support to Rizwan in 2021 itself. Babar had scored 1 half-century and 9 half-centuries during that period.

However, now Suryakumar is very close to breaking his record. India have to play the next match against Bangladesh, Suryakumar will reach the second position in this list as soon as he scores 5 runs.

Suryakumar Yadav has a chance to beat Rizwan :-

Talking about Suryakumar Yadav’s performance this year, in 26 matches this batsman has scored 935 runs at an average of 42.50 and strike rate of 183.69. During this, Suryakumar touched the mark of 100 once and 50 runs 8 times.

Suryakumar Yadav long ago overtook Shikhar Dhawan in terms of scoring the most runs in a year in T20 cricket for India. Dhawan had scored 689 runs in 2018.
