In this match, Virat Kohli scored 166 runs in 110 balls and scored his 21st century on Indian soil and went ahead of Sachin’s record of 20 centuries. While Virat scored 21 centuries in India in 92 innings, Sachin scored 20 centuries in 160 innings.

Virat Kohli’s highest century against Sri Lanka :-

Sri Lanka has been Virat Kohli’s favorite team since 2008. The 46th century of his ODI career imposed in Thiruvananthapuram, while the 74th century of his international career. This was his 11th century against Sri Lanka, the most against any one team.

Kohli, the batsman who played the most unbeaten century innings :-

Kohli played an unbeaten inning of 166 runs in this match. Along with this, he has left behind Sachin’s record in terms of scoring the most centuries while remaining unbeaten. Sachin had 15 unbeaten centuries and now Virat has scored 16 centuries.
