Mukesh Kumar, ODI debut: The ODI series between West Indies and India has started from 27th July. In the first ODI match, Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first against West Indies. Fast bowler Mukesh Kumar made his ODI debut in this match.

Jadeja handed over the ODI cap to Mukesh Kumar :-

Mukesh Kumar made his debut in the recently concluded Test series. After the Test, Mukesh got a chance to make his ODI debut. Jadeja handed him the ODI cap. Experienced batsman Sanju Samson did not find a place in India’s playing XI. Ishan Kishan has been included as the wicketkeeper-batsman. Ishan also made his Test debut against the West Indies. Had played a half-century in the second Test match.

Mukesh joined the list of veterans :-

Let us tell you that Mukesh Kumar did a unique feat as soon as he made his ODI debut. He has become the fifth Indian player to debut in Test and ODI in less number of days. Krishnamachari Srikkanth is present at the first place in this list. It took only two days (25 November and 27 November 1981) for him to debut in Test and ODI. TA Shekhar also took two days (21 January and 23 January 1983).
