IND vs WI 5th T20I: Hardik Pandya was stunned when Team India won by 88 runs, gave a big statement about captaincy

India won the fifth and final T20 match against West Indies by 88 runs on Sunday. And posted a mammoth score of 188, in response to which West Indies were reduced to 100 runs in 15.4 overs. India won the five-match series 4-1. Let us tell you that Rohit Sharma, who captained the first four T20s, decided to rest in the fifth match. In his place, the vice-captain Hardik Pandya took over the command of the team. Hardik, who made Gujarat Titans champions in the IPL and won the T20 series against Ireland, once again showed that he has the ability to lead Team India.

Hardik gave a big statement about captaincy

After thrashing West Indies in the fifth T20I, stand-in captain Hardik said it was a very special feeling to get a chance to lead the Indian team. Also winning matches means a lot to me. Captain Rohit did everything well before this match, so I just made sure we keep up the good work. At the same time, when Hardik was asked that do you see yourself as a permanent captain? In response to this question, Hardik said that yes, why not? If I get a chance, I will be very happy to do so. However, right now the T20 World Cup is approaching, so the focus is on it.

Hardik further said that we are getting better as a team. The kind of players we have and the freedom we are getting is a completely New India. I am watching the players playing with freedom. Players don’t have to worry about failing. When you play like this, you get special feats. I wanted to give the ball early to Axar Patel (3 for 15) as he is used to bowling in the powerplays. I knew we could get wickets.

Know, what did Nicholas Pooran say after the defeat?

After the defeat of West Indies, captain Nicholas Pooran said that we did not play well. We didn’t learn from our mistakes. And were not up to the challenge. We didn’t have the necessary partnerships. Against strong teams, we should execute our plans well. Be it batting or bowlers, there is a lot to improve. I hope as a team we will learn from these defeats. We are heading towards the World Cup and hopefully we can do the right things.
