IND vs WI: Lokesh Rahul ruled out of T20I series against West Indies

Team India has suffered a setback before the five T20 match series between India and West Indies. Opening batsman Lokesh Rahul is also not available for this series. Rahul, who was returning from injury, was included in the team for this series, but due to corona being infected, Rahul could not be fit for this series. Now Sanju Samson has been added to the team in his place. BCCI has given this information by tweeting. Samson was also part of the Indian team in the ODI series against West Indies and he batted well in the second ODI.

He had a groin injury

Lokesh Rahul has not played any match for the country after IPL 2022. He was named captain for the five-match T20I series against South Africa, but he was injured before the start of the series and was ruled out for the entire series. He had a groin injury and had to go for surgery in Germany. During this, he could not play the T20 series against Ireland, one Test against England, three ODIs and three T20 matches.
