The first match of the three-match ODI series between India and Zimbabwe was played on 18 August at Harare Sports Club. India won the match in a one-sided fashion by 10 wickets. Talking about the match, India won the toss and decided to field first. Zimbabwe’s entire team was bundled out for just 189 runs in 40.3 overs. Deepak Chahar, who was returning to the cricket field after February 2022, took three wickets for 23 runs in seven overs and was adjudged man of the match. Famous Krishna and Axar Patel also took three wickets each. At the same time, one wicket went to Mohammad Siraj’s account. Captain Regis Chakabwa scored the most runs for Zimbabwe. He played an innings of 35 runs. In reply, Team India achieved the target in 30.5 overs. Shikhar Dhawan 81 and Shubman Gill returned not out after scoring 82 runs.
