IND vs ZIM ODIs: Shahbaz Ahmed Replaces Injured Washington Sundar For Zimbabwe Series, Team India is to play a 3-match ODI series against Zimbabwe from 18 August. But before that India got a big setback.
Out of series due to shoulder injury:-
Team India all-rounder Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the series due to a shoulder injury. At the same time, Bengal player Shahbaz Ahmed has got a place in his place.

On this whole matter, the BCCI said, “The All India Senior Selection Committee has given Shahbaz Ahmed a chance in place of Washington Sundar for the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe.
Washington Sundar injured his shoulder while playing a county match in England. He has been dropped from the Zimbabwe tour.”

At the same time, due to Sundar’s injury, he also has suspense to play in the T20 World Cup. Speaking to PTI, a BCCI official said that, yes Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the Zimbabwe series.
He is troubled by a left shoulder injury he suffered during a match in the Royal London Cup. Sundar’s exit from the series against Zimbabwe like this is not good for the Indian team.
Sundar has previously performed well with his bat and ball at the Gabba. At the same time, he played some good innings against England as well.

Washington Sundar is out due to injury:-
- England is out of the series in 2021 due to hand injury.
- Missed the second half of IPL 2021 due to a single-hand injury.
- Out of the T20 World Cup due to a single-hand injury.
- South Africa was out of tour after being corona positive in December 2021.
- West Indies ruled out of home series due to hamstring injury.
- Sri Lanka missed the series with the same hamstring injury.
- Lost five matches in IPL 2022 due to finger injury.
- South Africa missed the series at home with the same finger injury.
- Zimbabwe was ruled out of tour due to a shoulder injury.
