IND W vs ENG W, England women’s Squad: The England and Wales Cricket Board has announced a squad of 15 players for the upcoming three-match ODI series against India. Amy Jones will continue to lead the team in the absence of Heather Knight and Nat Sciver, while Sophie Ecclestone has been named vice-captain.

The first match of the ODI series will be played on 18 September, while the other two matches of the series will be played on 21 and 24 September.

England women’s Squad: Alice Capsi and Freya Kempo got their first chance :-

Heather Knight has been ruled out of the series due to surgery, while caretaker captain Nat Sciver withdrew citing concerns over his mental health. In this team of 15 players, Alice Capsi and Freya Kempo have got a chance for the first time.

The head coach of the England team, Keightley, said this about her team :-

England women’s head coach Lisa Keightley said: “I was very proud of how the team came together to win the T20 series. Sometimes when you don’t have big names, other players come forward and grab the opportunity.” Take advantage and I thought we really did.

It’s a young group. But they worked hard and showed their skill and resilience to get out of line.

He continued, “Amy did a great job as captain and was backed by Sophie, so we want them to continue what they are doing.

It’s another big series, especially with points counting for ICC Women’s World Cup qualification, and a lot to be excited about with the summer ending at Lord’s.”

The series will be part of the ICC Women’s Championship, which is the basis for the teams’ qualification for the Women’s World Cup 2025.
