Harmanpreet gets ODI captaincy after Mithali’s Retirement Indian women’s cricket team veteran and ODI captain Mithali Raj announced her retirement from international cricket on Wednesday afternoon. He shared the announcement of putting an end to his long career of 23 years through social media. India is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka this month and the squad announced just hours after Mithali’s retirement announced.

Harmanpreet has been given the captaincy of the ODI team

Harmanpreet, who is commanding Team India in T20, has been given the captaincy of the ODI team. She will now lead the team in this format instead of Mithali. Smriti made the vice-captain of the team. In T20, she was performing this responsibility for the team. On the tour of Sri Lanka, the Indian team has to play three T20s and an ODI series of as many matches. All T20 matches will be in Dambulla while the ODI series will be in Kandy.

The tour of the T20 series will begin which will be on June 23

The schedule of the series will be the start of the tour of the T20 series which will be on 23 June. The second T20 match is to be on 25 June. While the third match is to be on 27 June. Dambulla given the responsibility of hosting all these three T20 matches. Talking about the ODI series, the first match will be played on July 1. While the second match is to be on July 4 and the last ODI on July 7. All the matches of this series will be in Kandy.
