A member of the selection committee said that – “Obviously, when many players in the team are injured, and it is a big headache for the selectors and the team management. Deepak Chahar is recovering but we have to assess his fitness before the series. Suryakumar may not recover in time and we are waiting for Jadeja’s report.”

The team should be announced by May 25. - Chetan Sharma may meet Indian captain Rohit Sharma in person.
- In the meeting, the break to Virat Kohli and some senior members will be discussed.

- The team will gather at a small camp at the NCA on June 4 before flying to Delhi for the first T20 on June 9.
