It was very shocking to me, I was completely restless in the pain for 7 to 8 hours at night. When I told this to the physio the next day, he got the MRI done, then he came to know that I had a fracture in my shin.

Shubman Gill has made a full comeback from injury. He played as an opener for Kolkata Knight Riders till the last season of IPL but was released by the team before the mega auction. Gujarat Lions, the new franchise team included in the tournament, has roped in Shubman Gill. Hardik Pandya has been selected by the team as the captain in the new season.

“After that I came back and played in IPL and there I had to go through many of their fitness tests, then when I went to play Test match again with New Zealand, the pain reappeared. There was a lot of pressure during the first innings because there was a lot of pressure. Till then I had to field. There was no Test match where we had to field 130 to 140 overs.

“We fielded here for almost two days. It made my pain go away again. It was only after this that the physio decided not to try to return until my injury was completely healed. If I try to make a comeback, it will keep coming back like this. I spent two months at the NCA and now I am completely fit and pain free.”
