Indore Test Pitch: The Indore Test match between India and Australia ended within three days. Taking action on the pitch of the Indore Test match, the ICC gave three demerit points, calling it bad and calling it bad. The ICC said in its statement, the footage of the Test match reviewed by the ICC Appeal Panel, which included Wasim Khan and Roger Harper. The panel concluded that the pitch should be rated ‘below average’, meaning the Holkar Stadium would receive only one demerit point instead of the original three.

Motera’s pitch was ‘average’ :-

The ICC rated the pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad (4th match) as ‘Average’. It was too slow to bat. There both teams had completed only one innings and match was a draw, due to which India won series 2-1.

The Wankhede Stadium pitch and the YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, where the first two ODIs between India and Australia were played, were rated ‘Very Good’ by the ICC match referees.

According to ICC rules, if the pitch of a ground gets five or more demerit points during a period of five years, then it barred from hosting international matches for one year.

Now Indian fans have got a big relief from ICC’s decision. The ICC has divided the evaluation of pitches into a total of six categories. It includes Very Good, Good, Average, Below Average, Poor and Unfit.
