IPL 2022: Simon Katich has stepped down as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) coach, just four days after the IPL auction.

According to a report in The Telegraph, Katich has taken this decision due to opposition and outright disagreement with the way SRH has selected the team in the IPL auction.

The report said that Katich was completely against the way the team was being managed.
The Pre-Auction Plans Disregarded:-
Coach Simon Katich was particularly angry at the way he “disregarded pre-auction plans”. It is noteworthy that Simon Katich, coach Tom Moody, veteran batsman Brian Lara and others remained the guides in the auction.
Most of the decisions in the auction (IPL 2022 Auction) were taken by the daughter of Team (SRH) CEO and promoter Kavya Maran. Katich is known in the cricket world for his honesty and simplicity.
According to conventions, after the auction, Katich disputed the decisions of the CEO and others on the selection of the team. Let us tell you, Katich is a very experienced IPL coach, who has previously held the position of head coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore.
