IPL 2022: Mumbai Indians have now decided to include an experienced player Dhawal Kulkarni in the team. Right now, if he performs well in the training session, his name will be considered for the remaining Indian Premier League (IPL) matches. According to IPL sources, the 33-year-old left-arm pacer has just joined the team’s ‘bio-bubble’ and will start training soon.

IPL 2022: Mumbai fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has lost 229 runs in eight matches and has taken only five wickets. Other fast bowlers have also not been able to do well this season. Left-arm pacers Jaydev Unadkat (six wickets for 190 runs in five matches) and Daniel Sams (6 wickets for 209 runs in five matches) have also been performing moderately. Fast bowlers Tymal Mills (six wickets with 190 runs in five matches) and Basil Thampi (five wickets for 152 runs in five matches) have also not done well. Riley Meredith was used in two matches but he conceded 65 runs and took only three wickets.

Fast bowler Dhawal Kulkarni joins MI team

Kulkarni, a regular player of the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team, also has experience of playing in the IPL. After making his IPL debut in 2008, he played 90 matches in which he took 86 wickets. Kulkarni has mostly played for Rajasthan Royals. He has also played a few matches for Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Lions. Mumbai Indians are already out of the race for the play-offs after losing eight matches in a row.
