IPL 2022 – Jason Roy Gujarat Titans: Withdraws before IPL 2022. Due to this Gujarat Titans got a big setback. Their opener Jason Roy has pulled out of IPL 2022, citing bio-bubble fatigue as the reason. In the recently concluded IPL Mega Auction, the England opener was bought by the franchise for his base price of 2 crores.

Gujarat Titans captained by Hardik Pandya bought Shubman Gill on retention ahead of the mega auction.

Jason Roy is expecting to be at the top of the order along with Shubman Gill for the new franchise. Jason Roy’s decision to pull out of the tournament is a huge blow.

Playing just five matches, he was the highest run-scorer for his team Quetta Gladiators.

Roy played for Sunrisers Hyderabad last year.

Roy has scored 329 runs in 13 IPL matches at an average of 29.90 and a strike rate of 129.01, including two half-centuries, which came in his respective team debuts for the Daredevils and the Sunrisers.

Who will be named Gujarat Titans in place of Jason Roy? The franchise is yet to name a replacement for Roy. However, they have Matthew Wade, who can open the innings for them.
