IPL-2022: Over 1200 Players to Register for TATA IPL 2022
Indian Premier League is on its high, and that is what it is known for, every International player wants to play here for once in this big Cricket Festival, and why they shouldn’t be because it’s something that every player wants to be in.
1,214 Players registered for IPL-2022
IPL player registration closed on 20 January 2022. A total of 1,214 players (896 Indian and 318 overseas players) have signed up to be a part of the IPL 2022 Player Auction.
In the two-day mega auction, 10 teams will bid for some of the best talents in world cricket. The list of players includes 270 capped, 903 uncapped, and 41 associates.

Note – If each franchisee is required to have a maximum of 25 players in its squad, then 217 players will be auctioned (out of which 70 can be overseas players).

- A total of 33 players have been retained/selected before the players’ auction. The existing 8 IPL franchises have retained a total of 27 players while 2 new IPL teams have picked 6 players ahead of the auction.
