IPL 2022: Shikhar Dhawan wants to open in IPL with Mayank Agarwal

New Delhi, ANI. Shikhar Dhawan, who played for Punjab Kings for the first time in the 15th season of the Indian Premier League, has reacted to his preparations. He was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 8.25 crore. He said that he is completely focused for the upcoming IPL matches and is not thinking of calling in Team India.

‘I am working hard and focused on my work, not thinking too much if I get a call for Team India then I am ready to join but if it does not happen then I am happy and without any stress’ Shikhar Dhawan is very excited to play for the new team under the leadership of Mayank Agarwal.

It would be good for me to play under Mayank’s leadership, says Shikhar Dhawan

‘I’m positive. It would be great for me to play under Mayank, we have a strong team, all the youngsters are very good and talented, we hope we will do something big this time, if I get a chance to open with Mayank, it will be very good for me. Would be good because it will be a big responsibility and I am ready to handle it’

This season of IPL is starting from 26 March and will run till 29 May. All league matches will be played in Maharashtra. For this, three venues have been earmarked in Mumbai and one in Pune. 55 out of 70 matches will be played in Mumbai while 15 matches will be played in Pune.

Shikhar also told about his NGO

Shikhar Dhawan also told about his NGO named ‘Shikhar Dhawan Foundation’. It will work for children and animals.

Punjab has been given a place in Group B. Apart from Punjab in this group, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore and new team Gujarat Titans are there. Punjab will start their IPL journey on March 27 with Royal Challengers Bangalore.
