IPL 2022: Simon Helmot will Replace Simon Katich, Hyderabad Franchise Confirms, franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad has appointed Simon Helmot as the team’s assistant coach. Helmot will replace Australian coach Simon Katich.

Katich’s Bio-Bubble Rules:-

Sunrisers Hyderabad supported this on Friday. The Hyderabad franchise said that Katich has pulled out of the upcoming IPL season citing bio-bubble rules and family purposes.

Trevor Bayliss and Brad Haddin have also stepped down as Hyderabad coaches. This is the third time after 2021 that a Hyderabad coach has resigned.

Trinbago Knight Riders have been awarded the title in CPL

Australian coach Simon Helmot was part of the Hyderabad team’s coaching staff from 2012 to 2019. Helmot has also led Trinbago Knight Riders to the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) title in 2015 under his coaching guidance.

50-year-old Simon is a well-known name in Australian cricket. He started his coaching career while studying at the University. He has also been the coach of Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League (BBL).

Katich Cites Bio-Bubble And Family Reasons:-

The Hyderabad franchise said Simon Katich would have expected two-and-a-half to three months here, including the pre-IPL camps. They thought it was too hard for the Bio-Bubble to last for so long.

He also mentioned family reasons. According to the report, Simon Katich was not happy with the way the team was being run. The plans that were made before the mega auction were not implemented.

After this, Katich has decided to leave Hyderabad. In the 15th season of IPL, Hyderabad will be led by Kane Williamson of New Zealand.
