Mumbai, PTI. Fans are excited about the new season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) with the team entering this tournament. From this month, one of the most popular T20 league in the world, IPL is going to start. The tournament will be held in India this time but BCCI seems a bit strict regarding hosting and practice venue.

All IPL teams will start practice from March 14 or 15, for which five practice sites have been identified here. Indian Premier League will start from 26th March and it is learned that Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has Bandra-Kurla campus, MCA stadium in Thane, Dr. DY Patil University ground, Football ground with CCI (Cricket Club of India) and Ghansoli. Reliance Corporate Park has been identified as exercise sites.

The players are expected to reach here from March 8. Maharashtra government held a meeting with BCCI and MCA for smooth conduct of IPL. This time 10 teams will participate in IPL. It is also learned that all the participants will have to undergo RT-PCR test 48 hours before reaching Mumbai.

For the stay of the players, 10 hotels have been identified in Mumbai and two in Pune. It has also been learned that players will have to be in quarantine for three to five days before entering their bio-bubble (safe environment designed to protect against corona). The league stage matches of IPL will be held in Mumbai and Pune.
