Cricket South Africa Wrote BCCI Letter

According to a report by ESPN Cricinfo, some South African players will not be able to be a part of the teams in the initial matches of IPL. Regarding this, the South Africa Cricket Board has also written a letter to the Board of Control for Cricket in India ie BCCI. In which he has told that South African players will not be able to play in the first few matches of IPL. Players will be able to join the teams only after 2 April.

A Big Reason For Not Appearing in the Initial Matches of IPL has Come to the Fore

A big reason has come to the fore for South African players not appearing in the initial matches of IPL. Actually, South Africa has to play two ODI home series against Netherlands which will start in the last of March. This ODI series is very important for the team in terms of the ODI World Cup to be held in India at the end of the year. If South Africa has to qualify for this World Cup, then the Netherlands will have to be defeated at any cost. Due to this, the South Africa Cricket Board has taken this decision. The team will play matches against the Netherlands on 31 March and 2 April.
