In fact, playing first in this match, Chennai Super Kings scored 217 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. The batsmen made important contributions. After this, the pace battery looked completely out of direction in the bowling. Deepak Chahar was neither able to bowl with pace nor line. At the same time, Tushar Deshpande started by giving 18 runs in a single over with consecutive wides and no balls. Same was the case with Ben Stokes and Hunger Games. In such a situation, Captain MS Dhoni looked calm and helpless on the field. Then Moin Ali took over the bowling and gave CSK 4 successes one after the other. Mitchell Santner also supported him well. Due to which the Lucknow team was able to score 205 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 12 runs.

Why did Dhoni Threaten?

MS Dhoni was unhappy about the poor performance of fast bowlers and giving extra runs with no ball and wide ball. Despite the team’s victory, he was worried. He warned everyone after the match that, we have to improve fast bowling. We have to bowl according to the conditions. It is important that we pay attention to what the opposition bowlers are doing. After this Mahi laughingly said about the new captain that one more thing our bowlers should not bowl no balls and extra wides. Or they will have to play under the new captain. This is my second warning and then I will leave.

Poor Performance From CSK’s Pace Battery

Talking about the pace battery of Chennai Super Kings, Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s anger is justified after seeing the kind of fast bowling that happened in both the matches. CSK bowlers gave away a total of 18 extra runs against Lucknow Supergiants which included 2 leg byes, 13 wides and 3 no balls. Earlier, in the first match against Gujarat Titans, the team had given 12 extra runs. This included 6 leg byes, 4 wides and 2 no balls. That is, Chennai bowlers looted a total of 30 extra runs in both these matches.
