IPL 2023: Rajasthan Royals Got a Big Blow Before IPL, this Rs 10 Crore Bowler Out of the Tournament

The upcoming season of IPL will start from 31st March. Before that, the one-time champion Rajasthan Royals suffered a major setback. The main fast bowler of the team, the famous Krishna has been ruled out of the tournament. Krishna has been away from the game for a long time due to a back problem. He has undergone surgery after suffering a stress fracture.

After surgery, Krishna will take a long time to rehabilitate. He has told the franchise that he will not be able to play in the upcoming season of IPL. The franchisee said that a replacement for the famous would be sought. Replacement will be announced soon. The team still has fast bowlers like Kuldeep Sen, Kuldeep Yadav, Navdeep Saini, KM Asif, Obed McCoy, Trent Boult and Jason Holder.

Famous Took 19 Wickets in 17 Matches

Before the 2022 season, Rajasthan Royals bought fast bowler Pramukh Krishna for Rs 10 crore. Famous took 19 wickets in 17 matches and stood on the trust of the franchise. Last time the team reached the finals. Rajasthan Royals made it to the final of the tournament for the first time since the inaugural season in 2008. However, he had to face defeat against Gujarat Titans in the title match.

The first Match of the 16th Season of IPL on March 31 Against the Defending Champions Gujarat Titans

The first match of the 16th season of IPL will be played on March 31 between defending champions Gujarat Titans and four-time champions Chennai Super Kings. This means that young star Hardik Pandya will face the challenge of experienced Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the very first match. The final match will be played on 28 May. Both the opening and final matches will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Rajasthan team will play its first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 2 April.

There Will be 74 Matches in the Tournament

70 league matches will be played between 10 teams in 52 days. After that four playoff matches will be played. In this way there will be a total of 74 matches in the tournament. There will be 18 double headers (two matches in a day). All the matches will be played on a total of 12 grounds across the country. A team will play seven matches at its home ground and seven matches at the opposition team’s ground in the league round.
