Former India opener Virender Sehwag has said that there is no technical flaw in Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma’s batting and his poor form is due to mental block. Rohit scored just 184 runs this season at an average of 18.39 and a strike rate of 126.89.

Sehwag Said, ‘Rohit Sharma is Not Battling With the Bowlers but With Himself’

In the last two matches, he could not even open the account. Sehwag said, ‘Rohit Sharma is not battling with the bowlers but with himself. He is facing a mental block. There is no flaw in his batting technique. There is a dilemma going on in his mind. The day he recovers from this, he will make up for all the previous matches. Five-time champions Mumbai were defeated by Chennai Super Kings by six wickets in the last match.

Gavaskar had Said this

Earlier, Gavaskar suggested that Rohit should focus more on the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final. Gavaskar has said that the Mumbai skipper is looking a bit busier than before.

Gavaskar said- I would like to see some changes in the batting order of Mumbai Indians. To be honest, I would also say that Rohit should also take a break for some time and keep himself fit for the World Test Championship final. He might come back again for the last few matches of Mumbai but for now he should give himself some rest.
